AccessBio CareStart COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test

Personal Physician Care offers a broad array of services geared to address today’s most common illnesses and health concerns.

The CareStart™ COVID-19 Antigen test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay intended for the qualitative detection of the nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal swab specimens directly collected, or collected in BD universal transport media, from individuals suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within five days of symptom onset. Testing is limited to laboratories like ours, that meet the requirements to perform moderate, high or waived complexity tests. This test is authorized for use at the Point of Care (POC), i.e., in patient care settings like an in-office visit with one of our highly skilled providers.

Our goal is to improve and maintain your overall health and to empower you with an understanding of the condition of your health and wellness as a means to plan for your optimal care.

Our in-house antibody testing will indicate if either of the IGG or IGM antibodies of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 are present in your system, indicating an early stage or past infection.

This test is intended for use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immunoresponse to SARS‑CoV‑2, indicating possible immunity. Because the levels and timing of IGG and IGM antibodies are highly variable, it is not specific as to which antibody is present.
